EDEN, N.Y. - Hilbert College fell in defeat to Morrisville State in women's lacrosse this afternoon at Eden High School.
Calista Mis skipped her free position shot attempt and passed to
Aaryonah Vaughn who delivered the nice feed to the back of the net in the 44th minute which prevented a NEAC shutout win by the Mustang goalie.
The Hawks, playing defense a majority of the game, were credited with only eight shots, won only six of the game's 30 draw controls and converted 6 of 14 clear attempts.
Nicole Darrow made 11 saves against the 52 shots Morrisville unleashed.
The Hawks picked-up seven ground balls while Mis and Brianna Stegemeier each caused one turnover.
Hilbert (0-5, 0-2 NEAC returns to Eden High School tomorrow to battle SUNY Poly (6-3, 4-0 NEAC) in a 12 pm contest.
