FT. PIERCE, FL – Eastern Nazarene College claimed a 16-6 victory over Hilbert College in baseball action this morning. The Hawks slipped below .500 with a 2-3 record while the Lions improved to 2-1.
Eric Flores continues to shine at the plate as the junior outfielder hit a pair of doubles in his 4 for 5, 1 RBI effort.
Senior
Ryan Bonafede collected three hits and
Kevin Moore,
Dalton Reynolds and
Brandon Zicari each added a pair as the team finished with 16 hits on the day.
Michael Best led the charge with two of the team's 5 RBIs.
Eastern Nazarene jumped out to an 8-1 lead by the end of the 3rd inning. The Hawks strung together four runs and cut the score to a 3-run difference by the middle of the 5th. The Lions limited Hilbert to a single run in the 7th while they padded their score with eight more runs by the end of the 8th inning.
Hilbert returns to the ball park tomorrow for a 10 am game against Immaculata University.
