Beavers take down Pitt-Greensburg in four sets

BUFFALO, NY - The Bluffton University volleyball team made the long trip to Buffalo State on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. Bluffton downed Pitt-Greensburg in four sets, moving to 6-4 on the season and breaking a three-match skid in the process.

Kaylie Campbell (Camden/Preble Shawnee) smashed 11 kills with just one error for a white-hot .588 hitting percentage. Jenna Woods (DeGraff/Riverside) pounded nine winners, while Julianne Kincaid (Galion/Northmor) came off the bench and was sensational, hitting .389 with eight kills and one error. Emma Organ (Lambertville, MI/St. Ursula Academy) and Paige Massie (Arcadia) added seven spikes apiece.

Organ and senior Courtney Weekley (Butler/Clear Fork) led the Beavers with 12 pickups. Elle Price (Pocono Pines, PA/Findlay (Ohio) and Lindsey Shaw (Findlay/Van Buren) added 10 digs apiece. Woods and Maddie White (Ashland) stuffed the Bobcats with five and four blocks, respectively, while White and Price handed out 20 and 13 assists, respectively.

Bluffton dominated three of the four sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-18) and came up just shy (25-23) in set three. The Beavers will be back at the Buffalo Sports Arena on Saturday when they tee it up with host Buffalo State at 11 a.m. before a second go around against Pitt-Greensburg at approximately 1:30 p.m.
