BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - After battling to a 1-0 deficit by half time, the Hilbert College women's soccer team surrendered two second-half goals which led to their 3-0 loss at Geneva College tonight.

The Golden Tornadoes (4-4) had their hands full during the first forty-five minutes as the Hawks mirrored the full-field ball movement as their hosts.   Geneva scored their eventual game-winner early in the game, at 12:24, but the rest of the first half was tight.  Hilbert earned one more corner than Geneva but were out-shot 11-3 by intermission.

Geneva turned the heat up after the break and established the pace on offense forcing the Hawks to play defense the rest of the way.  The Golden Tornadoes held a 23-0  edge in shots and 3-1 in corners.

Brianna Stegemeier, after making four stops in the first half, was credited with 12 saves off 23 shots in the second period playing her first 90-minute game of the season.
Amber Stuck and Grace Zabawa (2 shots) each were tagged with one shot on goal.

The Hawks return to Hamburg this Saturday for their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference double header with the mens teams.  Please note,  the AMCC rotates the order of games each year and in  2019, the men's game will be played prior to the women's night cap contest.

The Hawks will host Pitt.-Greensburg September 28 with 2:00 and 4:15 game times.
