HAMBURG, N.Y.  – The Hilbert Women's Soccer team finally got a taste of the sweet victory this afternoon after the Hawks earned a 4-1 dominating win over Morrisville State.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hilbert and Morrisville played to a scoreless first half even though the Hawks built a 15-6 margin in shots, forcing four saves.
• The Hawks increased their offensive push, kept working the ball through their middies who found Macy Kisner, and Grace Zabawa down the center of the pitch most of the final 45-mintues.
• Gabrielle Avallone finished a Zabawa feed to put Hilbert up 1-0 just four minutes into the second half.
• Macy Kisner headed in her first goal of the season as she reacted to Zabawa's header off a corner kick taken by Avallone at 56:55 for the 2-goal lead.
• The Avallone knocked in her second of the day off a rebound from a teammate's blocked shot in the box in the 67th minute.
• And Zabawa tallied her third of the season at 71:47 off and Kisner assist for the big lead.
• Morrisville scored their only goal off a corner kick taken in the 75th minute and settled into the 4-1 loss.

GAME NOTES

• Hailey Kuder finished the game in goal and was credited with two saves.  Tahlia Kosek started between the pipes, made two saves and shifted to a field player in the second half.
• Hilbert dominated on offensive outshooting the Mustangs 29-11 with an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal.
• Grace Zabawa found plenty of space today as she unleashed 12 shots, five on goal.  Gabrielle Avallone (6), Macy Kisner (5) and Hannah Brock (4) were very active on offense combining for 15 more Hilbert shots.
