Hawks Suffer NEAC Loss; Duncan Becomes All Time Leader



MARCY, N.Y. – With his one block assist, senior Andrew Duncan become the All Time Block Assist leader for Hilbert College today in the Hawks 3-1 loss to Wells College. 

Korey Schwab led the Hawks with 16 kills and Ryan Ratajczak picked up 12 digs to add to his All Time leaders list as Hilbert dropped the first two sets before rebounding in the third. (25-14,25-15,20-25,25-17).

Brett Kane assisted on 22 of Hilbert's 29 kills (.039).  Adam Zientek was credited with six kills and Korey Schwab (9), Jacob Alessi (7) and Kane (6) kept rallies alive with their dig efforts.

Wells tallied 10 more kills (39-29) and finished the match with a (.264) attack percentage.

Hilbert handed Wells 18 points in service errors, but the Express returned 17 points to the Hawks in the same fashion. 

Wells was credited with 12.5 team blocks preventing the Hawks from securing additional points on the net.

Andrew Duncan's single block assist brought his career total to 91 today.  Andrew Wolbert led the Hawks with three block assists and Kane (one solo) and Zientek added one each.

Hilbert returns to NEAC action tomorrow when they challenge SUNY Poly at noon before they return to Hamburg next Friday for a NEAC tri-match on Senior Day March 20.
