Men's Basketball Dominates Muskies at Home

PITTSBURGH, PA- Your La Roche Men's Basketball team logged their first victory today against Muskingum. It was a close game, but La Roche maintained their lead from early on in the match.

Joe Pipilo led a strong offense, netting 64.2% of his field goals and three epic three-pointers. Pipilo totaled 22 points against Muskingum, making him the top shooter of the game.

Joe Starzynski held up his end both offensively and defensively. The sophomore made 60% of his shots and went three for three in free throws. Starzynski was just behind Pipilo in points, tallying 13. Most notably, Starzynski blocked two Muskingum shots by knocking them out of the air.

Muskingum fought LRU hard for a lead but was unsuccessful. Just when Muskinghum got close, the Redhawks picked up the pace and got their 22-point advantage in the final minutes.

The Redhawks travel to the Rochester Institute of Technology for the Harold J. Brodie Tournament next weekend.
