MORRISVILLE, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Morrisville State Tournament held on Saturday. The Lions defeated SUNY Poly 3-0 and then fell to the Mustangs, 3-2.

Match One

Final Score: Penn State Behrend 3, SUNY Poly 0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-21)

Records: Penn State Behrend (2-0), SUNY Poly (0-4)

Key Moments:

* Sophomore Dani Kosslow (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) handed out 21 assists, while freshman setter Liane Mooney (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) dished out 20 assists
* Senior middle hitter Alex Parra (Pittsburgh, PA/Bishop Canevin) knocked down a team-best and career-high 13 kills
* Sophomore Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) added 10 kills and nine digs
* Junior Madison Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) led with 13 digs and a team-high six aces
* The Lions held SUNY Poly to a .154 attack percentage and 19 kills

Noteworthy:

* Head coach Phil Pisano collected his 300th career win with the women's team

Final Score: Morrisville State 3, Penn State Behrend 2 (25-20, 20-25, 19-25, 27-25, 19-17)

Records: Morrisville State (3-1), Penn State Behrend (2-1)

Key Moments:
* The Lions rallied back from a first-set loss to take a 2-1 lead in the match
* The Mustangs won the final two sets in extra points for their third victory of the season and hand the Lions their first loss
* Mooney recorded her first collegiate double-double with 20 assists and 12 digs
* Clapper set a new career-high with 45 digs, helping the team post 119 total digs for five sets
* Five different players each had 10 kills, including Reiland who finished with a double-double (10 kills and 18 digs)
* Kosslow and Mooney split the setting duties once again with Kosslow recording 23
