GREENVILLE, Pa. – Courtney Vaccaro's pair of goals led three Hawks in the scoring column as Hilbert College took at 4-2 non-conference victory at Thiel College tonight.  The Hawks evened their record at 2-2 and dropped the Tomcats to 0-5 this fall.
 
Vaccaro assisted on Jackie Morgan's goal in the 35th minute to knot the game at 1-1.  Thiel scored the opening goal just nine minutes into the game before Vaccaro and Morgan hooked up.

Thiel took a 2-1 lead just 12 minutes into the second half, but that was all they were able to convert as the Hawks defensive unit shut them out the rest of the way. 

Shannon Rogers, scoring her second goal of the season, again forced a tie at 66:37.  Jackie Morgan served a ball off a corner kick and Rogers headed it to the back of the net.

Vaccaro scored the game winner in the 81st minute and padded the Hawks spread with just 50-seconds left in the contest.  Imarie Waller centered the ball on a break-away right to Vaccaro who slipped it past Thiel's second goalie on the day.

Vaccaro earned her first 5-point game in her career.

Hilbert dominated play outshooting the hosts 28-10 with a balanced attack each half.  Vaccaro led all players with nine shots, five on goal.  Jennifer Colvin and Shannon Rogers also pressured the Tomcat goalies with four shots a piece while nine Hawks were credited with at least one shot.

Jenna Castricone made six saves going the full 90-minutes in goal for Hilbert. 

Hilbert returns to action in back-to-back games this weekend.  The Hawks host Alfred University Friday, the 18th with a 2pm kick-off (live video) and then will travel to St. Vincent College Saturday, the 19th for a 1pm double-header game with the men's teams.
