Men’s Soccer Team Has Strong Second Half Against Pioneers

Just one goal separated the Wells College men's soccer team and visiting Alfred State College in the second half of a non-conference game on Thursday, Sept. 23.

The Express allowed three goals in the first half and that allowed the Pioneers enough of a margin to carry them the rest of the way.

Wells goalkeeper Cole Ruff got his first collegiate start for Wells and finished with seven saves on the night.

The Express' best scoring chances came from Nathan Soliman, Zaki Javed and Ryan Nugent, who all shared the team lead in shots.

The men's soccer team next travels to Penn College for a United East contest on Saturday, Sept. 25 with a 1 p.m. start.
