ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team was defeated by their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference rival Penn State Behrend (5-9, 3-0 AMCC) in a 7-2 fashion at the Gorilla House Gym on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 1 doubles team of Jonathan D'Arcy (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) and Logan Kyle (Reedsville, PA/Mifflin County) of Penn State Altoona started out the day with an 8-2 win to put the Lions on top early. However, the Lions would go on to lose the next two doubles matches of the day 8-2 and 8-3.

In singles competition, D'Arcy picked up another win in his No. 2 singles match by a score of 6-1, 6-0 to give the Lions their second point of the day. Unfortunately, the Lions would go on to lose the rest of their singles matches, including a tough loss in No. 1 singles play where Jimmy Gillespie (Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) fell 6-4, 7-6 (8-6).
