FT PIERCE, Fla – After playing to a 3-3 score after 10 innings against Wilkes University, the Colonels swung-away to an 11-5 victory in the 11th inning after the Hawks from Hilbert struggled from the mound.

Hilbert returns to Hamburg with a 3-5 record and are pleased with the team's growth and performances.

Kevin Moore went 5-for-6 at the plate and knocked in a run in the process while Paul Wujek was credited with a 2RBI 2-for-6 hitting day.  Joshua Maier added an RBI single.

The Hawks ran through their bullpen by the start of the 11th inning.  Wilkes put the game away with an 8-run inning before Hilbert could regroup in the bottom half.

After their 24-hour bus ride home to WNY, the Hawks' baseball team will take a few days off to recover from the eight games they played in Florida plus the 24 bus ride down and back.

Hilbert returns to action March 30 and 31st when they host their first AMCC double-header against Pitt-Bradford and a non-conference DH against Elmira College.  Both games to start at 1pm mid-week on the Hawks diamond on campus, field conditions permitting.
