Men's Basketball: Slow Start Hinders Bison in 65-55 Lost to Lions

Erie, Pa. – Junior Asa Klicmchock had a career-high 21 points in Bethany's 66-55 loss to Penn State-Behrend Saturday evening inside Junker Center Gym.

GAME FLOW

• The Lions opened the game on a 9-0 run.
• Bethany's Brendan Riggs hit a three for Bethany to put the Bison on the board.
• At the first break in action, Bethany trailed 14-5 with 13:01 to go in the half.
• After trailing by as many as 17 in the first half, the Bison battled to cut the lead to single-digits.
• After a DJ White Jr. steal and fast break layup the Bison trailed by nine (33-24) with 1:18 left in the half.
• After a pair of free throws, the Lions took a 35-24 lead into halftime.
• The Lions opened the second half with a layup to build the lead to 13.
• The Bison chipped away to cut the lead to eight, after an old fashion three-point play from Travis Zimmerman with 17:01 to go.
• PSU-Behrend rebuilt a double-digit lead back up to 18 (51-33).
• Bethany rallied back to cut the Lions' lead to 55-45 after a Zimmerman layup.
• Klimchock hit two back-to-back three-pointers in the final :16 seconds of the game.
• The Lions held off the Bison, winning by 11.

• Asa Klimchock had a career-high 21 points shooting 8-for-13 from the field and 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
• DJ White Jr. added 14 points and added a team-high nine rebounds. He dished out five assists and had five steals.
• Neshawn Brown had eight points.
