HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's volleyball team closed-out their 2016 season on Senior Day with a home game against Penn State Altoona this afternoon.
The 1-8 Hawks fell to the 8-1 Lions in straight-sets (25-12,25-17,25-12) after the team honored their four graduating seniors prior to the start of the match.
Hilbert struggled on offense as they connected for only 18 kills off the 95 attempts. The Hawks gave away 32 points over the three-set match on hitting errors, finishing with a negative attack percentage.
Altoona, the #2 seed heading into the AMCC post-season tourney, picked-up 26 kills (.146) and five service aces but matched the Hawks with five total blocks.

Morgan Ott led with four kills, 11 assists, one service ace, and two blocks – one solo/one assisted.
Torianna LeWand led on defense with eight digs and three block assists.
