Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford volleyball team will host Allegheny on Wednesday night, looking to extend their six-game winning streak.

The Panthers went on a tear last week, winning all 5 games they played. They beat Buffalo State in their home opener 3-1 and then won all four games at the Buttermaker Classic. The Panthers were led by Emily Cleveland, who won AMCC Offensive Player of the Week for her exploits. She had 83 kills for the week and added 4 aces, 7 total blocks, and 25 digs. Cleveland is currently in a tie for 3rd in the country in kills. Stephanie Carson was also honored by the AMCC last week. She was named Defensive Player of the Week, stepping in to collect 89 digs. Carson also had 11 aces from the service line. Setter Tabitha Walker is also in the top 10 nationally, as her 319 assists are the 8th best total in the country.

Allegheny has gotten their season off to a good start as they have a 6-2 record coming into tonight's match-up. The Gators were also at the season-opening Bearcat Challenge, where they went 1-2 with wins over Waynesburg and Pitt-Greensburg and a loss to Westminster. Sophomore Emma Chambers has led the Gators with 79 kills. Kendall Crum and Cheyenne Wilson have also been key to the Allegheny attack, logging 67 and 63 kills thus far. Olivia D'Andrea has served as their primary setter, dishing out 133 assists. Defensively Taylor Besch leads the team in digs with 123 and India McCruter leads in total blocks with 24.
