Cresson, Pa. — The Mount Aloysius women's tennis team rallied after a tough defeat yesterday to beat Pitt Greenburg today. The Lady Mounties swept the doubles competition and split the singles matches. The Mounties prevailed in the match 6-3.
Emily Goldyn and
Joselyn Walters won the number one doubles match with a score of 8-3.
Mackenzie Roush and
Katelynn Arnold won the number two doubles match by a margin of 8-6.
Ayusma Bhattarai and
Alexis Brisko won the the number three doubles match with a score of 8-2.
After dropping the number one singles match, the Mounties roared back. Walters beat Kasey McIntosh by a score of 6-2, 6-2. Arnold won the number three singles match also by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
The Lady Mounties lost the next two singles match in close margins, but ended the match strong as
Maggie Willason won the last match with a score of 6-2, 6-2.
The Lady Mounties are now 2-4 and 2-2 during AMCC play. They will be back in action on September 23 against Franciscan University.
