Women's Volleyball Falls to No. 5 Calvin in NCAA Tournament

GRAND RAPID, Mich. – The fifth-ranked Calvin women's volleyball team advances to the NCAA Division III Regional semifinals with a 3-0 win over Penn State Behrend on Thursday night in Van Noord Arena. 

Final Score: Calvin 3, Penn State Behred 0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-10)
Records: Penn State Behrend (22-6), No. 5 Calvin (28-3)

Key Moments:

* Calvin held a 41-22 advantage in kills while each team had a total of 95 attacks over the three sets
* Heidi Westra led with 11 kills and 11 digs for the double-double
* The Knights hit .500 in the first set to post a 25-10 victory
* Down 19-13 in the second set, the Lions got within one at 21-20 to force a Calvin timeout
* Behrend tied it at 22-all and the Knights won the final three points for a two-set lead
* In the third set, Calvin had 13 kills with one attack error for a 25-10 decision to continue its chance at an NCAA Title
Maddie Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) led with 15 digs and Keely Hering (North East, PA/North East) recorded eight kills on 21 attempts with one error 
* Dani Kosslow (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) dished out 17 assists and dumped over three kills
Brooke Joncas (Corry, PA/Corry) added five kills and three digs for Behrend
* The Lions finished their season with a 22-6 overall record
