The Muskingum men's lacrosse team fell to Hilbert in their season opener on Saturday afternoon, 15-7.

• Sophomore Hazen Powell led the Muskie attack with three goals on nine shots and picked up a team-high nine ground balls.
• Senior Nick Klinefelter added two goals on seven shots for the Muskingum attack while also grabbing two ground balls.

How It Happened 

• After a hard fought first 15 minutes, the Muskies and the Hawks finished the first quarter tied, 2-2.
• Hilbert erupted for six goals in the second quarter to take control of the game before halftime.
• The Hawks carried their momentum into the second half scoring five more goals in the third quarter to extend their advantage.
