HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's soccer team kept the score close after 45-minutes of action, but lost all offensive momentum in the second half as the Hawks were dropped, 5-0, by Alfred University this afternoon.

The Saxons, who built a 13-0 advantage in shots in the opening period, finished the game with a 29-2 edge and a 18-2 slant in shots on goal.

Amber Stuck and Macy Kisner were credited with both of Hilbert's shots on goal while Kelci Davies, Brittany Profetta, Grace Zabawa and Mia Loschiavo worked hard through the midfield looking to create the Hawks chances in the final third of the field.

Brianna Stegmeier opened the game with six saves (4 goals) in 59:16 minutes of action.  Freshman Lauryn Scott closed the final 30 minutes in net with seven saves (1 goal).

Hilbert (0-2) will travel to Thiel College September 19 and open the Hawks vs. Tomcats double header at 5pm with the men following at 7pm.
