HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Hilbert College women's volleyball team recovered in the third set, but fell to Pitt.-Bradford in AMCC action tonight.
The Panthers grabbed the first set, 25-12 before they dominated the second for a 25-2 victory. The Hawks responded in the final set and held a 6-4 lead early. But once the Panthers regained their footing at the net, they took over for a 25-22 set win.
Bradford finished the match with a .423 attack percentage collecting 38 kills and only five hitting errors.
The Hawks struggled to hit the ball with power and committed 27 attack errors out of the 77 attempts.
Amanda Binder totaled nine kills and
Morgan Ott assisted on nine of the team's 16 kills. The Hawks collected only 11 digs for the match.
Hilbert (0-17, 0-4 AMCC) has a big break from games as their next game is scheduled for October 14th in Erie, Pa against Penn State Behrend.
