Behrend Volleyball Finishes Day Two of PSB Invitational; Reiland Named All-Tournament Team

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team dropped pair of five-set matches on the first day of the PSB Invitational held at the Junker Center on Friday.

Match One:

Baldwin Wallace 3, Behrend 0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-15)
Records: Penn State Behrend (4-3), Baldwin Wallace (6-3)

Noteworthy:

* Senior Kristin Reiland (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria) was named to the All-Tournament Team for registering 52 kills and 17 digs over four matches this weekend

Match One:

* Dani Kosslow (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) had her first double-double of the season with 12 assists and 11 digs
* Reiland led with 11 kills, while Cara Zollars (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) posted a team-best 15 digs
* The Behrend Lions never recovered from a 6-1 start by the Yellow Jackets in the first set
* Cecelia Hamisch tallied three straight kills to give BW the 25-20 win
* Behrend grabbed its first lead of the match at 14-13 and stayed out front until the final four points, all straight kills by the Yellow Jackets to break a 21-all tie and win 25-21
* In the third set, Baldwin Wallace won eight of the final nine points to edge the Lions

Match Two:

* Reiland tallied a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs while adding three aces and hitting .429
* Brooke Joncas added 11 kills, while Meg Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) dished out 16 assists
* Behrend tallied 15 kills in the first and third sets but could not get past the Titans in non-conference action
