KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Hilbert College men's lacrosse team fell behind early, battled back in the second quarter but slipped to top seeded Keuka College in a 15-10 NEAC defeat this afternoon.

The Hawks (5-7, 2-4) surrendered multiple quick-hits to the Wolves (9-3), who improved to 6-0 in conference play.

James Duffy scored three goals and matched Daniel Flynn's point production as the rookie middie assisted on a late-game Hilbert goal.

Devin White-Kearns was credited with four caused turnovers and five ground balls while C Hixon went 7-for-14 at the face off x.

Elijah Ryan went the full distance again making 19 saves.

Keuka built at 7-1 lead after 15 minutes.  Edward Mathias opened the game with a score just 32 seconds into the game.

The Wolves then tallied back-to-back scores 24 seconds apart, and then eight seconds apart over a span of five minutes in that opening quarter run.

Hilbert responded in the second session outscoring the hosts, 4-1.  Duffy scored twice and Ryan Spath and Liam Doyle joined efforts in the quarter.

Keuka scored four unanswered markers at the start of the 3rd before Hilbert hit twice.

Trailing 13-7 at the top of the final quarter, the Hawks held a 3-2 edge on the score board, but lost by five goals.

Stop by the campus this Saturday, April 27 for the men's lacrosse team's final home contest of the season.  The Hawks will honor their three seniors, James Duffy, Marc O'Neill, and Elijah Ryan prior to their 3:30 pm NEAC game against Cobleskill.
