Men's Basketball to Wrap up 2021 with Matinee Against Penn State-DuBois

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburg at Bradford men's basketball team will close out 2021 on Monday as they will host Penn State DuBois for a non-conference matchup.

The Panthers are 5-5 overall with a 1-2 AMCC record after their 2nd half comeback against Pitt-Greensburg fell short as they lost 104-95. Nathan Schneider led the charge for the Panthers, as he scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Isaiah Archie added 15 points and Greg Archie scored 11. 

On the season, Archie and Schneider have been a potent 1-2 punch for the Panthers as they top the AMCC leaderboard in points per game. Isaiah is scoring 22.9 points per game to lead the conference. Schneider is in second in scoring with 19.9 points per game but also leads the AMCC in rebounding as he pulls in 10.4 rebounds per contest.

The Lions have yet to pick up their first win of the season, as they enter the conference 0-9. They are led by Jaiquil Johnson, who is averaging 18.8 points per game. Malik Gordon has also been a key offensive player for the Lions, averaging 15.5 per game.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff

The contest is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in KOA Arena.
