Men's Volleyball Falls At Home To The Hawks

Wells College men's volleyball hosted AMCC rival the Hilbert Hawks Thursday evening for a best-of-5 match.

The Express fell behind early to the visiting Hawks forcing Coach Laing to call a time-out. Wells tried to dig themselves out of the hole closing the gap to only four points, but they were not able to hold off the Hawks in the first set, 25-14. In the second, Conor Garvey, serving five straight times, tried to carry the Express back into the set followed by big serves from Qulik Evans. Unfortunately, the Hawks put the Express away, 25-18. In the final set, Hilbert College served out of order multiple times allowing the Express to have a chance at this set late. Mason Moon and Connor Garvey both served up a few aces, but it was not enough to secure the victory.

Men's Volleyball will host a tri-match this Saturday with Geneva and SUNY Potsdam starting at 12 PM.
