Express Handle Hawks At Home
On Thursday night, the Express men's volleyball team hosted the Hilbert Hawks.
Both teams came into tonight with 2 wins on the season and the Express, coming off a week-long rest, were eager to get back on the court.
The Express took it right to the Hawks in the first set jumping out to a 12-6 lead and never looking back. With 13 kills in the first set, the Express took care of business giving themselves a 1-0 advantage by a score of 25-13.
In the second set, the Hawks had signs of life never letting the Express gain more than a 3 point lead. KIn the end, Kills by Connor Garvey and Riley Mahoney closed out the Hawks in the second set 25-22 giving the Express a 2-0 lead.
The third set is where the Express got a little complacent. it was the second consecutive set where neither team was able to gain a big advantage. Serves from Christian Hahn and Cooper Colesante kept the Express in it the whole way but they ended up dropping the third set to the Hawks, 25-23.
The fourth set was where the Express was done messing around. The Express tallied 16 kills, Riley Mahoney had some monster kills, Cooper Colesante chipped in a few, and Confidence Burrowes got in on the fun as well. the Express took care of business and defeated the Hawks 25-15.

Men's Volleyball will be back in action Sunday when they host Mt Aloyisus College starting at 12:30 PM!
