Panthers to Close Out Fall Semester with Pitt-Greensburg

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will play their final game before the holiday break on Saturday, as they host Pitt-Greensburg in an AMCC matchup.

The Panthers enter the matchup at 2-8 on the season with an 0-2 record in AMCC Play. In their last contest, the Panthers were able to jump out to an 18-13 lead after the first quarter against Penn State-Altoona. Unfortunately, they were unable to hold on as the Lions came back to earn a 70-54 victory. Cailey Barnett Scored 18 points in the game while Cassidy King grabbed 15 rebounds.

Cailey Barnett has led the Panthers of late, as she has averaged 20.0 points per game in the month of December. She is averaging 12.8 points per game for the season. Hannah Lary has been the Panthers' leading scorer, averaging 14.2 points per game.  Cassidy King has led the Panther effort on the boards, as she is second in the AMCC in rebounds per game, averaging 11.9.

The Bobcats are currently 5-1 on the season with a 1-0 record in AMCC play. The Bobcats have had two straight games postponed, and have not played since an 81-39 victory over Hilbert College. 5 Bobcats scored in double figures in the victory with Lizzie Penrose leading with 12 points off the bench. Nadege Durand scored 10 points and had 6 rebounds and 8 assists.

Durand has led the Bobcats this season, as she is averaging a double-double. She scores 15.7 points per game and grabs an AMCC leading 11.2 rebounds per contest. Sidney McCully and Maddie Sitler also average double-digit points on the season, scoring 10.7 and 10.3 points per game respectively.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, December 18th at 2:00 p.m.
