Alfred State College mulit-sport student-athlete Isabelle Popoff has been named the AMCC representative of the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Popoff was a member of the women's indoor & outdoor track and field, cross country, and soccer teams during her time at Alfred State.
The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Cross Country All-Academic Team.
All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.
With three fall sport championships under their belt, and strong finishes in four others, Penn State Behrend once again starts off the year with the lead for the AMCC Presidents Cup.
The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team placed 12th out of 20 teams with a team score of 344 at NCAA Regional Championships hosted by Houghton University Saturday afternoon.
Fusco continued her strong season by finishing in 21st place in a loaded field at the Canisius Alumni Invite. In doing so, Fusco broke the Hilbert 5k record by running a 19:08.3, beating the record by 18 seconds, while also propelling to the top of the AMCC 5k top times this season.
Nola scored a top finish for Behrend at the Houghton Invitational Saturday afternoon. She ran a 6k time of 23:03.6 for a third-place finish with an average mile time of 3:39.5.
Kraynik finished in the top 30 at the SUNY Fredonia Invitational as she crossed the 6k line in 26th place with a time of 26:13.8, ranking her with the fourth best time in the AMCC this season.
Fusco led her team at the Harry Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan University, finishing in 25th place out of 147 individuals. Fusco took another 24 seconds off of her PR and is now within seconds of the Hilbert record, as she crossed the 5K finish line in 19:30.6.
Nola was the top finisher for the Lions at the Westminster Invitational. Nola ran time of 19:29.37 with an average mile time of 6.17 for a fifth-place finish out of 58 runners.
