BEHREND'S CARR LEADS WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Penn State Behrend junior Savanna Carr has been named the AMCC Runner of the Year for the second time in three years. Carr won her second AMCC Individual Championship a week ago with a time of 22:10.4. Her time beats the all-time AMCC Championship record which was set in 2013 (22:34). Carr led the Lions to a team AMCC Championship with 23 team points. During the regular season, Carr ran the sixth-fastest time in the conference, finishing the Behrend Twilight Invite in 23:41.9.

Franciscan University junior Shannon Wieszczek is the Newcomer of the Year. This was the first season that Wieszczek competed at the collegiate level. The rookie runner earned a fifth place finish at the conference championship, crossing the finish line in 24:12.1.

Coach of the Year honors goes to Penn State Behrend head coach Greg Cooper. Cooper led the Lions to the program's ninth cross country title, while also coaching eight of the 15 AMCC All-Conference performers.
