BEHREND WOMEN CLAIM NINTH CROSS COUNTRY CROWN

Penn State Behrend junior Savanna Carr won her second AMCC women's cross country title in three years and led the Behrend Lions to their ninth overall team championship on Saturday.

Behrend won the title with 23 points, while Franciscan University was second with 37 points, and Alfred State College was third with 80 points.

Behrend had eight AMCC All-Conference performers for placing in the Top-15. As a team, the Lions finished with a score of 23, beating second place Franciscan by 14 points.

All AMCC teams are eligible to run in the NCAA III Mid-East Regional Meet in Bethlehem, Pa. on November 16th at 11 am. Qualifying runners will then advance to the NCAA Championship meet on November 23 in Louisville, KY.
