WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FOR SATURDAY

Penn State Behrend, seven-time AMCC champions, will look to claim their third straight conference title this weekend at the AMCC Cross Country Championship in Angola, NY. 

Behrend freshman Savanna Carr recorded the fastest 6k time of the season, a 22:30 finish at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble in the final meet of the season. Teammates Riley Crissman and Jenna Shelton were right behind her at Oberlin with the second- and third-fastest times of the year, finishing in 22:57 and 23:30, respectively. Other Lions ranking in the top ten include Caitlin Plazoney and Courtney Sargent

Franciscan University freshman Caitlin Long picked up the sixth-best time on the year with a 23:38 finish at Oberlin and also recorded the tenth-best time at Cedarville University, crossing the finish line in 23:58.

The AMCC Championships will take place on Saturday, October 28 at Evangola State Park in Angola, NY, with the women's race beginning at 12n. All teams will have the opportunity to participate in the NCAA Division III Regional Meet on Saturday, November 11 hosted by Dickinson College.
