PENN ST. BEHREND, PITT-BRADFORD TO SQUARE OFF FOR WVB TITLE

#1 seed Penn St. Behrend will face #3 Pitt-Bradford in the AMCC women's volleyball championship on Sunday.

The regular season champion Lions were tested by #4 seed La Roche College who took the defending champions to four sets (25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-16).  Behrend was led by setter Lexi Irwin (12 kills, 34 assists) and OH Amanda Henry (15 kills, 5 blocks) while the Redhawks OH Laura Nath contributed 11 kills and 13 digs while L Hannah Scott added 29 digs on defense.

Pitt-Bradford swept #2 Mount Aloysius College (25-22, 25-21, 25-22), avenging a regular season loss to the Mounties.  The Panthers relied on Riley Anderson (14 kills) and Katie Treet (12 kills) to secure the win.  Mount Aloysius got strong performances from Emma Pevarnik (10 kills, 13 assists, 10 digs) and setter Jessica Bressler (24 assists, 10 digs) to close out their season.

The winner of Sunday's match will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA DIvision III tournament.  Behrend has made four national tournament appearances while Pitt-Bradford has been there twice.
