AMCC Women's Volleyball Game of the Week

The AMCC women's volleyball game of the week features a showdown of the top two teams in the conference, as the Penn State Behrend Lions (15-9, 6-1 AMCC) travel to udefeated Mount Aloysius College (16-8, 7-0 AMCC) on Saturday afternoon. As the regular season winds down, the top teams in the conference are fighting for the regular season title and hosting rights for the AMCC conference tournament.
The Lions are coming off of a five-set match victory on Tuesday, defeating Pitt-Bradford 3-2 on the road. Junior middle hitter Alex Parra set a new school record for blocks in a single match with 12. Senior setter Lexi Irwin ranks 12th in NCAA Division III statistics in triple-doubles this season with three. She also has 14 double-doubles on the season.
The Mounties are on an 11 game winning streak which has included seven wins in AMCC play. In conference competition the Mounties lead the conference in kills per set with 12.79 and hitting percentage with .265. Offensively, the Mounties are led by middle hitter Sarah Fisher and outside hitter Machala Gibbons. Both are in the top five in the conference for kills per set and Fisher's .311 hitting percentage is good for second in the conference. Libero Kylee Clawson is second in the conference in digs per set as she approaches her 1000th dig in only her second year.
