BEHREND VOLLEYBALL SEASON ENDS AGAINST McDANIEL IN ECAC QUARTERFINALS

The Penn State Behrend (20-11) women's volleyball team fell to McDaniel College (22-8) 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Saturday night at Cabrini University.

McDaniel took a two-set lead and halted the Lions comeback after Behrend cut the deficit to 2-1 after the third. The Lions hit .333 with 14 kills on 33 attempts in the third set. The Green Terror held Behrend to a total of 12 kills in the two first sets combined. Senior setter Lexi Irwin had a double-double with 29 assists and 11 digs, while Alex Parra led the offense with 10 kills. McDaniel held Behrend to zero blocks for the first time this season. Sophomore libero Madison Clapper added 26 digs while freshman outside hitter Kristin Reiland knocked down nine kills.

The Lions finish the season with a 20-11 record.
