#6 seed La Roche College and #5 seed Penn St. Behrend outplayed their seeds and advanced to the semifinals of the AMCC women's volleyball tournament Wednesday night.

The Redhawks handled #3 Medaille College for the second time in two weeks, 3-1.  The Behrend Lions meanwhile avenged an earlier 3-2 loss in the regular season by upending #4 Pitt-Bradford in straight sets, 3-0. 

The AMCC championship weekend will take place at Penn St. Altoona.  The semifinals on Saturday will feature #1 Penn St. Altoona vs. Penn St. Behrend at 2p and #2 Franciscan University taking on La Roche at 4:30p. The finals will be Sunday at 1p.  The champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
