PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Franciscan SR Madelyn Conrad swept her four conference matches for the week. Against Penn St. Altoona, Conrad picked up a victory at No. 1 singles with 6-0, 6-0 victories, then cruised to an 8-3 victory in the top doubles spot. Then, against Pitt-Greensburg, she picked up 6-1, 6-1 victories at No. 1 singles, and an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius JR Ayusma Bhattarai went undefeated for the week, at No. 5 Singles and No. 3 Doubles, earning the game-winning point against Penn State Altoona, by winning both sets in tie-breaker fashion...Pitt-Bradford SO Abbie Buerkle was the best Panther performer in the team's AMCC opener, picking up wins in No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles over her D'Youville opponents...D'Youville SO Lauren Karoglan had a strong weekend for the Spartans, helping the team earn their first victory of the season, as she picked up two points for the team with doubles and singles victories in the 6-3 win over Bradford...Medaille SO Kristina Hryshchuk helped bring her team to victory this weekend with a win in both of her matches, as the win in the doubles match against the Penn State Behrend No. 2 doubles pair brought the Mavericks to a lead of 2-1 in doubles competition, and a tie breaker win in singles competition helped to earn the conference win (7-2) over the Lions and bring their overall record to (4-0, 3-0 AMCC)...PS-Altoona JR Sophia Girol went 1-1 in both singles and doubles this past week against AMCC opponents Franciscan and Mount Aloysius, earning a 6-4, 6-4 win in No. 4 singles against Mount Aloysius on Saturday, as well as an 8-1 victory in No. 2 doubles against the Mounties.
