PITT-GREENSBURG, PENN ST. BEHREND TO FACE OFF IN WOMEN'S TENNIS FINAL

For the fourth year in a row, Pitt-Greensburg and Penn St. Behrend will face each other in the AMCC women's tennis final.

As the top seed and two-time defending champs, the Bobcats took care of business first, eliminating #4 Mount Aloysius College 5-0.  After sweeping the doubles, #1 singles Emily Ruhlman and #2 singles Eden Richey closed the door with identical 6-0, 6-0 finishes.

In the second semifinal, the #2 seeded Behrend Lions took down their Penn State cousins from Altoona, 5-0.  The Lions won all three doubles, then added wins at #5 singles (Jayna Baer, 6-3, 6-1) and #6 singles (Rachel Fleming, 6-2, 6-3) to seal the win.

Behrend has won a league-best 13 women's tennis titles, while Pitt-Greensburg is aiming for their third straight.

The championship match will take place at 1:30p Sunday at Oxford Athletic Club in Wexford PA.  The winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
