#3 Mount Aloyisus College and #4 Medaille College stayed true to seeding, advancing to the AMCC women's tennis championship semifinals.

The Mounties swept #6 La Roche College on Saturday, 5-0 and will meet AMCC rival #2 Penn State Altoona.  The Lions earned a narrow 5-4 decision when the two squads met on September 30.

The Mavericks were challenged to the bitter end by #5 D'Youville College.  In a match that stood at 4-4, it came down to a 10 point tiebreaker at #4 singles.  Kristina Hryshuck clinched the victory with a 6-2, 2-6, 10-4 decision over Spartan Allisson Meissner.

Medaille will take on #1 seed and two time defending champion Franciscan University in the first match next Saturday, with a 3:30pm start.  Penn St. Altoona and Mount Aloysius will commence immediately following the conclusion of the first match.  The finals will be at 1:30pm on Sunday.  All matches will be held at Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, PA.

The winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament in May.
