CZERWINSKI, LEWIS TAKE TOP WOMEN'S TENNIS HONORS

Penn State Behrend senior Chelsea Czerwinski has been tabbed as the 2016 AMCC Women's Tennis Player of the Year. Czerwinski was named the AMCC Player of the Week once and ECAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Month for being undefeated in conference play (8-0) and overall (10-0) at No. 1 singles.

Penn State Altoona freshman Brayley Lewis has been named the 2016 Newcomer of the Year. Lewis enjoyed a very strong freshman season with the Lions. She opened her career with five straight No. 2 singles victories over AMCC opponents, as well as a No. 1 singles win. Her six wins in singles tied her for the most on the team. In addition to her strong play in singles action, Lewis also picked up four wins at the No. 1 doubles spot. At the end of September, she was named the ECAC Division III Rookie of the Month.

Coach of the Year honors goes to Franciscan University's Jeremy Ellis, who led the Barons to a regular season and conference tournament championship in 2016.
