SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend FR Camryn Watters broke three records on the weekend. She set a new team record with a first-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.39. Watters also set team record in the 100 backstroke in the 400 medley relay and also broke the team record in the 50 backstroke in the first leg of the 200 medley relay with a time of 27.06. She swam 1:26.32 in the opening leg of the medley relay that took second to break the record. Watters also placed third in the 50 free in 25.41.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Bradford SO Isabella Cercone was a key figure in the Panthers' dual meet victory over Chatham, she won three individual events, while also swimming the anchor leg in the winning 200-yard freestyle relay for the Panthers. She won the 100-yard breastroke by nine seconds in 1:14.53, the 50-yard freestlye in by over four seconds with a time of 27.21 seconds and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:41.03, winning by more than 14 seconds. At the Blue Devil Invitational she took 8th in the 200-yard IM, 6th in the 100-yard breaststroke, and 8th in the 200-yard breaststroke...Alfred State SR Mikaela Snayczuk recorded two first place finishes, a third place finish and a fourth, fifth, and sixth place finish at the Fredonia Invitational, as she made the A-final in all of her individual events, while helping to get two wins in relay events. She finished first in the 200 medley (1:50.22) and 400 medley (4:04.01), third in the 100 breast (1:10.81), fourth in the 200 IM (2:17.88), fifth in the 200 breast (2:36.67), and sixth in the 200 free relay (1:47.03). She also added a fourth place finish in the 400 free relay (3:47.99)....PS-Altoona SR Sarah Petry had a strong meet for the Lions in last week's Malone University Invitational, including setting one new team record. In the 1,650 Yard Freestyle, she compiled a time of 19:29.94 to take 11th place in the event, and her time set a new Penn State Altoona women's swimming team record. The senior also qualified for the 'A' final in the 200 Yard Freestyle and came in sixth place, after she clocked in at 2:02.64. Later in the meet, she came in 16th in the 500 Yard Freestyle final, finishing in 5:45.49. Sarah also helped her team accumulate points in the 400 Yard Medley, 400 Yard Freestyle, and 800 Yard Freestyle Relay events.
