Samantha Torrenti, Mount Aloysius College, Offensive Player of the Week

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mount Aloysius M/F Samantha Torrenti started off her college soccer career by breaking the school record for goals in a game with four in a win over York College (NY). The freshman followed with an assist in a 4-2 victory over SUNY Old Westbury on Saturday to help the Mounties start off the season with two wins. 

BEST OF THE REST: La Roche MF Amanda Ceravolo debuted her Redhawk uniform in stellar fashion by netting a goal in her first collegiate game (2-1 win over Waynesburg) and following it with a goal and assist against Geneva...D'Youville F Magan Magee scored two goals in the team's 2-0 championship win in the Potsdam Tournament, the first was a free kick which turned out to be the game winner, and the second was scored on a through-ball that she finished to give the team an insurance goal...Pitt-Greensburg F Kayleen Schwegler scored a hat-trick in the first game of the season with all three of her goals coming in the first half in the 4-2 victory over Bethany...Franciscan M Clare Kennedy led the Lady Barons with five points (2 goals, 1 assist) for the week, while her second goal against Thiel ended up being the game-winner...Hilbert M Jennifer Colvin scored two goals this past weekend at the SUNY POLY Classic tournament, scoring the game winning goal in a 1-0 win over Cazenovia...PS-Behrend F Olivia Belack scored her first goal of the season in the 13th minute to help the Lions defeat Wooster 2-0 in the opening game of the HLM Tournament.
