BOBCATS FALL IN FIRST ROUND OF NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team had a successful season, winning an AMCC Championship and having the two top goal scorers in the conference.

The run came to an end on Saturday, as the Bobcats dropped their NCAA First Round matchup to the Spartans of Case Western Reserve University. The final score was 6-1, but the story of the day was a legendary career coming to an end the way it should, with a goal. Senior F Ashley Lucas scored the program's first NCAA tournament goal.

Lucas had three shots, with two on goal, including her 19th goal of the season. Becca Kubler and Sarah Tonkovich also had shots in the game, with Kubler's getting on net. Kubler led the way for the Bobcats off the bench, playing 46 minutes in reserve.

Pitt-Greensburg's season ends with a 16-4-1 record, while going 7-0 in AMCC play and securing the program's second AMCC title.
