Penn State Behrend and Penn State Altoona enter the AMCC Women's Soccer Game of the Week as the final two remaining undefeated teams, both holding a 3-0 record in conference play.

Behrend registered a season-high 11 goals in the win over Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday. The Lions saw 11 different player score to help them remain undefeated in conference play. Behrend has scored 36 goals in 12 games for a 3.00 goals per game average to rank tied for 39th among other NCAA Division III teams, while they also sit at 25th in goals-against average (.417). The Lions are now fifth in the United Soccer Coaches Great Lakes Regional Rankings, moving up from seventh with a 11-1 record. Freshman F Trinity Pretash leads the Lions with eight golas on the season while junior M Karla Ochoa has six. Senior GK Madi Jones has been a force in goal for the Lions. Jones ranks first in the AMCC with an .857 save percentage and just two golas against on the season. 

Penn State Altoona women’s soccer will look to keep its recent momentum going in a big home matchup against AMCC opponent Penn State Behrend this Saturday, October 9 at Spring Run Stadium. The Lions have won three straight AMCC contests to start their conference schedule, and they have won four of their past five games overall. Senior forward/midfielder Sadie McConnell, the reigning AMCC Offensive Player of the Week, leads Penn State Altoona in goals scored (4), game-winning goals (2), and points (10). Sophomore forward/midfielder Mallorie Smith has also been a key member of the Lions’ attack, leading the team in shot attempts (36), shots on goal (23), and assists (5) while being second in goals scored (2) and points (9), and junior midfielder Sarah Huston has also scored two goals this season for Penn State Altoona. In goal, freshman keeper Adeline Baustert holds a 4-3 record with one shutout.

The Altoona Lions will be looking to snap a 10 game losing streak against the Behrend Lions in this weekend's AMCC Game of the Week.
