The Pitt-Bradford women's soccer team will put its undefeated conference record on the line Saturdayafternoon at Pitt-Greensburg, as the AMCC women's soccer Game of the Week features two of the top three teams in the conference.
The Panthers (9-6, 7-0) are riding a seven game winning streak, following a 2-1 victory over Penn State Altoona on Senior Day last Saturday. Sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Dailey has been terrific for the Panthers, posting a perfect 7-0 record in the conference thus far, racking up an AMCC-best five shutouts. She also leads the conference in goals against (3), goals against average (0.43), save percentage (.917) and wins (7). The Panthers have been receiving contributions from all over the field offensively. Sophomore midfielders Kaitlyn Donnelly and Kaitlyn Williams lead the attack with five goals each while senior defender Jamie Christensen and freshman forward Grace Dadzaa chip in with four goals each. Pitt-Bradford beat Pitt-Greensburg, 5-0, during the 2014 regular season.
Pitt-Greensburg enters Saturday’s showdown against top seeded Pitt-Bradford with a conference record of 5-1-2, third best mark in the AMCC. Meanwhile, the Panthers come to Greensburg with a perfect 7-0 record in league play. The Bobcat offense is led by freshman forward Kayleen Schwegler. Her nine goals in conference play are tied for the most in the league, while her 18 conference points rank second. Sophomore goalkeeper Shannon Edwards is third in the league with 104 saves on the season for the playoff-bound Bobcats. Head Coach Chuck Wigle has the Bobcats heading back to the postseason and will be looking to lock up a first round home playoff game for the third time in his four seasons at the helm.
