Hilbert College's Emily Gawlak was voted D3 Women's Lacrosse HERO of the Week April 14 after receiving 786 votes (46.1%) cast on-line.

The freshman midfielder earned the award after she scored five goals, including two free-position goals, while adding a ground ball and 15 draw controls in the Hawks' 20-4 win over D'Youville on Apr. 5. Later in the week against Lancaster Bible, the Hawks were down five goals with a minute left before Gawlak scored three goals in a 26-second span to close the gap. She finished the week with 13 goals, one assist and 32 draw controls.
