MEDAILLE'S RUSZCZYK, JENSEN HEAD WOMEN'S LACROSSE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Medaille College senior midfielder Amanda Ruszczyk has been named the AMCC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year. Ruszczyk capped a stellar career with her best regular season to date. She scored 56 goals and dished out 14 points for a team-best 70 points. Her goal total puts her fourth in the conference in scoring. Ruszczyk also had a career-best 94 draw controls, finishing the regular season first on the team and third in the conference.

Medaille senior defender Lauren Jensen has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Year. Jensen was a force on defense for the Mavericks, clearing the ball out of her defensive zone with her patented coast-to-coast rushes at an almost unstoppable pace. Those rushes have resulted in a career-high five goals for the senior defender, including her first ever hat trick against D'Youville College. She led the team with 57 ground balls, which ranked her first in the AMCC, and 34 turnovers, which was eighth-best in conference play.

Hilbert College freshman attack Emily Gawlak is the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Gawlak led the country in draw controls per game for the last seven weeks of the season and finished with 153 during the regular season. She led the team in goals (57) and assists (23), both ranking her second in the conference.

Hilbert head coach Melissa Graham has been tabbed as the AMCC Coach of the Year. Graham led the Hawks to a 1-2 record in conference play and a runner-up finish in the inaugural AMCC women's lacrosse showcase tournament.
