BOWLER OF THE WEEK: Medaille JR Liz Minnard was a key piece for the Mavericks in their opening tournament of the 2019-20 season. Minnard finished with a total average of 185.9 and a baker average of 17.0. Minnard helped her team go 8-5 at the Columbia 300 Penguin Classic over the weekend. Minnard was one of the highlighted bowlers in each of their victories over nationally ranked opponents, including #16 Saint Francis and #6 Arkansas State. They knocked down #16 Saint Francis twice and avenged their NCAA loss to #6 Arkansas State with a 914-876 win with the help of Minnard.

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius SO Kaitlyn Klein was the most consistent player for the Mounties over the weekend, as she had the second best baker average (18.2) on Saturday, then followed it up with the second best traditional average (185.8), while bowling her best traditional score against DI Duquesne, 195...PS-Behrend SR Brianna Lundy finished the Grapevine Classic ranked in second place out of 60 bowlers, as she recorded a 185.60 average over the two-day tournament, bowling her highest game of 202 against Ursuline...D'Youville SR Ashley Len had a strong opening weekend for the Spartans in the team's first ever match, as Len took third overall at the Grapevine Classic, recording an average of 185.20 and pacing the Spartans with a high score of 214, picking up all-tournament team honors.
