The AMCC was excited to get back into action, as Saturday's AMCC Bowling Round Robin marked the first official conference event in almost a year due to the covid-19 pandemic. In order to eliminate overnight trips for the majority of conference schools, and to aid in the ease of social distancing, the AMCC will be using two different sites for this year's round robin events. La Roche University served as the host for the southern schools, as they welcomed Mount Aloysius College, New Jersey City University, and Penn State Altoona to AMF Playmor Lanes in Pittsburgh, PA. Penn State Behrend hosted the northern schools of Hilbert College, Medaille College, and Saint Vincent College at Eastland Bowl in Erie, PA. The first round robin event was a Five Game Baker TPF format.
Mount Aloysius won the southern round robin, as they went 3-0 on the day, being the only AMCC team to go undefeated on the day. The Mounties defeated Penn St. Altoona 836-683 in the first match of the day and followed that up with an 844-805 victory over New Jersey City. They closed out the day with an 876-691 win over host La Roche.
Mount Aloysius senior Michelle Bello led the Mounties with an impressive 18.5 for 33 frames, while sophomore, Savannah Prather followed with a 18.2 for 31 frames
Medaille and Saint Vincent both picked up 2-1 records at the northern site, while Penn State Behrend and Hilbert went 1-2. The Mavericks earned wins over Hilbert (837-734) and Penn State Behrend (868-699), while the Bearcats picked up victories over Penn State Behrend (808-688) and Medaille (922-883).
Leading all AMCC bowlers on the day was Saint Vincent junior Jessica Guesman with a Baker frame average of 18.96. Medaille sophomore Sarah Radt was tops for the Mavericks with a 18.77 Baker frame average.
