MAVS STAY HOT ON DAY ONE OF SECOND ROUND ROBIN

The second leg of the AMCC Round Robins kicked off today at New Jersey City University, as the format for this Round Robin was a traditional team match.

Day one of the two-day event ended in high spirits for Medaille College as they went undefeated on the day. Medaille took every match by a sizable advantage beating their opponents by at least 81 or more pins. The Mavs took game one against Pitt-Bradford by a score of 920-711. Morgan Walsh led the way for the Mavs by knocking down 202 pins. The Mavs were slated to face Hilbert in game two. As a team, Medaille had their lowest score of the day, but still came out on top knocking down 747 pins. Game three the Mavericks were up against Penn-State Behrend, as they took the third game by a score of 853-682. Mackenzie Derleth and Walsh led the way, both having a 199. Medaille would wrap-up the first day of the AMCC Round Robin against Mount Aloysius College. It was another very good game played by the ladies in the blue and gold, as they ended the day with a 898-817 victory. Derleth led the Mavs with her best game of the day rolling a 201.

Mount Aloysius finished the day in second place with a 3-1 record, while New Jersey City, Pitt-Bradford, Saint Vincent College, and Penn State Behrend all tied for third place with 2-2 records. Penn State Altoona went 1-3 on Saturday.
