AMCC BOWLING TITLE GOES TO PITT-BRADFORD

Defending champion Pitt-Bradford earned their second consecutive AMCC women's bowling title today in a tightly contested championship weekend at Holiday Bowl in Altoona, PA.

The Panthers racked up 6,410 pins over the two day competition.  Mount Aloysius College finished in second place with 6,175; regular season champion Medaille College was third with 6,172, and tournament host Penn St. Altoona was fourth with 5,513.

Sunday's competition followed the best-of-seven Baker format.  Only the first four games bowled in each match were included in the total pinfall total used to calculate the conference championship standings.  Saturday's matches were played using the team format, with every team bowling each other twice. Total pinfall for the two-game match determined the win-loss vs. each opponent.

Six bowlers were named to the all-tournament team:
Sarah Foley, Pitt-Bradford
Erin Fagan, Pitt-Bradford
Katie Gales, Mount Aloysius College
Courtney Sable, Mount Aloysius College
Tallie Papke, Medaille College
Brea Suchonic, Penn St. Altoona
