PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche G Ayanna Mazyck led the Redhawks to a 2-0 record on the week averaging 18.0 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting 15 of 22 (68%) from the field. Mazyck recorded a double-double in the AMCC Game of the Week vs. Pitt Greensburg on Saturday (12/21) scoring a game-high 20 points and reeling in 12 rebounds in route to a 73-63 La Roche overtime victory.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State F Jordyn Pettit had a monster 2nd half in the Pioneers' only game last week, as she scored 23 of her season-high 25 points in the 2nd, while also pulling down 16 rebounds and adding three steals...Medaille F Morgan Kennedy led the Mavericks in their two close fought battles of the week. Kennedy averaged a double-double on the week. In their first match up of the week against the Panthers Kennedy scored (10) points and also grabbed (10) rebounds. While adding two steals and one block on the defensive side of the ball. Against D'Youville Kennedy was far and above the best player on the court for either team. Kennedy scored a game high (20) points for the Mavericks and also grabbed a game high (12) rebounds. Before the night was through Kennedy added a steal and two blocks to solidify one of her best games of the season...Pitt-Greensburg G Nadege Durand posted her sixth double-double of the season this past Saturday at La Roche, totaling 12 points and hauling down 10 rebounds, while also notching a season-best four steals...D'Youville F Brigid McKeone had a career game on Wednesday evening in the 45-36 win over Medaille, as she led the team with 16 points and 11 rebounds - both career highs - for her first career double-double...Hilbert G Emily Gawlak led the Hawks with a double-double at 20 points and 11 rebounds at Alfred State., as her contributions have led the hawks to six straight wins going into the break...Pitt-Bradford G Shirleah Ragin averaged 13 points and eight rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Panthers, as she scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a conference win against Medaille, and followed that up by playing all 40 minutes and scoring 16 points with nine rebounds in a loss to Buffalo State.
